Hello, my name is Tina, and I am owner of Josie O’Kain Costume and Theatrical Shop. I have worked at Josie O’Kain costume shop since 1994 in rental as a costume designer and in 2003 when the owner decided to retire I bought the place.
After over 40 years of costuming in Joliet, IL I moved the shop to my hometown of Lombard, IL.
With this blog we here at Josie’s hope to give you just a little look at what goes on in a theatrical costume rental shop as we prepare for shows, weddings, photo shoots, fashion Shows, special costume request and our all time favorite Halloween.
We also belong to the National Costumers Association (NCA) and will post the times when we participate in the conventions.
This blog is for pure fun and we intend no harm or insult to humans, plants or animals, so just enjoy.
